Метод доступа, при котором общий ресурс спутникового ретранслятора динамически перераспределяется между всеми активными ЗС с помощью одной центральной станции. Канал выделяется пользователю только на время проведения сеанса связи, что экономит ресурсы бортового ретранслятора. Применение DAMA связано со значительным увеличением времени установления соединения (например, по сравнению с ТОМА доступом). Технология с предоставлением каналов по требованию наиболее удобна для создания сетей полносвязной конфигурации. В системах с частотным и временным разделением каналов вместо термина DAMA иногда применяются аббревиатуры DA/TDMA (Demand Assigned ТОМА) и DA/FDMA (Demand Assigned FDMA). Ср. РАМА, ТОМА.

приоритетный доступ по требованию
Метод доступа, при котором для определения наличия запросов на передачу и их приоритета периодически опрашиваются все подключенные к сети терминалы. Такой метод применяется в высокоскоростной сети 100VG-AnyLAN, где использованы два типа приоритетов, один для нормального режима работы (данные), а второй - для высокоприоритетного. В каждом цикле опрашиваются все порты, причем запросы, которые ожидают в очереди более 250 мс автоматически переводятся в разряд приоритетных.
